YouCapture - Summer

What luck! YouCapture and the Simplicity blog hop have the same theme this week: SUMMER!

I ♥ summer.

Photobucket

I went to a 3 year old's birthday party the other day, and it was chock full of summer necessities - watermelon, swimming, burgers and potato salad, wet bathing suits dripping water, pinatas spilling candy upon tiny fingers.

However, due to another blogger's recent discovery of stolen photos, I am very weary of posting photos of kids. Especially because these kids aren't mine. So, my summery photos are mostly of still-life.

At least I can safely post a photo of a slip n' slide!

Anyway, summer wouldn't be summer without fresh strawberries, so this is my entry for the Simplicity blog hop.

And this past summer has been even better than any summer I've ever had, because I've spent 7 sunny weeks being happily engaged to this guy.

PS - Beth over at I Should be Folding Laundry is having a bunch of great giveaways. One of them is for a LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP for Clickin' Moms. I already know how amazing the site is, and I've been told you don't have to be a mom to join, which is great for me. (Although most of my readers ARE moms.) Anyway, you should definitely check out Beth's giveaways. Lots of fun stuff!

Oh man. You're blog looks, reads and OOOOOOOZES summer. So jealous... but it's just around the corner here, a skip, jump and hop over spring!

P.S. I haven't read "BOY" by Roald Dahl.. but think it's one of the ones I picked up for Olivia. I also got another one for her (forgot the name) but it's got different snippets from him eg. An alternative beginning he wrote for Charlie and the Chocolate factory, a recipe of his. Looking forward to reading it once she has finished with it!

The picture of the strawberries is making me want to jump in the car and buy some n-o-w. Also, love the slip and slide!
